Why should I have my BBQ serviced and/or cleaned?
- If you use your BBQ a lot, all the drippings can build up, can even cause your burners to block up which can cause low heat and even fires.
- If you don’t use your BBQ frequently, even in the winter, small animals and insects can get inside. BBQs are favourite places for squirrels and spiders to make a home. Spiders can build webs in your burners, gas hoses, orifices, which can cause low heat and gas and also can cause the gas to back up which can lead to a fire.
How do I clean my grill?
Cleaning your cooking grill is best done when the grill is hot. Leave the BBQ on high after cooking, with the lid closed, for about 10 minutes. Turn off the BBQ, take a BBQ brush and scrape down the grills. Be careful of hot surfaces. When you are done cleaning, you must oil the grill to create a protective coating. Canola oil is preferred. Cleaning is not for everyone — let us clean your grill instead.
